bio:

steph sees the world for all its beauty and humor and with her photos strives to make the world a little more fun + inviting. she is attracted to the bright side and the colorful, and over the years has built a great base of clients who hire her because she is really good at making people who have never met look like they really like being in one another’s company.

she began shooting in high school as a way to record a life that was ephemeral and needed more connection after having gone to 5 elementary schools and 4 high schools. moving a lot while growing up made her both a great observer and hyper aware of behavior, two traits that make for a great photographer.

steph is always devising ways to see how animated and athletic her subjects can be in order to get shots that are unique and push the envelope. with her personal work she searches for subjects who march to a different drummer. a 7 year old black belt in karate who tap dances and sings karaoke would be right up her alley.

steph loves photographing all walks of life, including pets. she is especially inspired by kids as they have a magical way of seeing the world which is so refreshing + funny.
